Day 1: Tangier – Rabat guided Tour
Upon your arrival in Tangier, our Moroccan driver will be there to greet you, whether you arrive by ferry or by air. From Tangier, you’ll be transported to Rabat, a city adorned with imperial grandeur, characterized by its majestic domes, towering minarets, expansive terraces, wide boulevards, and verdant parks. En route, you’ll traverse the charming Andalusian-Arab town of Larache, nestled along the Atlantic coast.
Once in Rabat, embark on a guided city tour that includes visits to prominent landmarks such as the Oudaia Kasbah, the bustling Medina, and the well-preserved 17th-century Andalusian Wall. Your exploration continues with stops at the iconic Hassan Tower, the solemn Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the ancient Chella Necropolis, where remnants of both Roman and Islamic civilizations weave tales of bygone eras. Conclude your day with a delightful dinner and a restful night’s stay.
Day 2: Rabat – Volubilis – Fez
After enjoying breakfast, head over to Meknes to capture the magnificent architecture of the Bab El Mansour gate. Explore the Harri Souani stables, medieval medina, and royal palace as part of the Meknes city tour. Afterwards, proceed to Mouly Idriss where you can take a moment to unwind in this quaint town before venturing to Volubilis. This UNESCO World Heritage Site promises breathtaking views and historical wonders. Conclude the day by traveling to Fes where you’ll spend the night.
Day 3: Fes – Guided tour of the Medina
Following breakfast, your journey through the Fes medina, renowned as one of the globe’s most expansive walled cities, will commence under the guidance of our expert. Traverse the labyrinthine alleyways adorned with fresh produce, heaps of aromatic spices, finely crafted Berber rugs, and myriad other Moroccan artistic treasures. Highlights of the tour include visits to the King’s Palace, the tanneries, and pottery workshops, offering a glimpse into the city’s rich cultural tapestry. For lunch, you have the option to dine at a traditional eatery nestled within the medina’s core. Post-lunch, the exploration continues before returning to your accommodation for the night.
Day 4: Fes – Chefchaouen – Tangier
Before reaching the majestic Rif Mountains, your journey will take you through the countryside and quaint settlements en route to Tangier. Your next destination is Chefchaouen, nestled in the valley between two peaks known as Ech-Chaoua (The Horns). This picturesque town boasts steep, narrow streets lined with whitewashed buildings adorned with indigo accents, charming squares, ornate fountains, and homes featuring intricately designed doors and red-tiled roofs. Enjoy lunch at a traditional restaurant with views overlooking the Ech-Chaoua Mountains before continuing your afternoon journey to Tangier.
